Our Origin
Jason Metalworks began with a simple truth: I couldn’t afford the jewelry I wanted, so I taught myself to make it. What started as a personal workaround quickly became a passion for metal and material science, craftsmanship, and the idea that well‑made pieces shouldn't be out of reach.
My earliest rings were born from coins. I drilled out the centers of nickels, pressed them into shape on a hand‑powered arbor press, and learned how metal behaves when you heat it, bend it, and put in time. From there, I began polishing and anodizing coins, experimenting with foreign currency, and discovering how different alloys responded to heat, pressure, and patience. Those small experiments opened the door to stainless steel, then titanium, and eventually meteorite — each material a new challenge and a new way to grow.
Jason Metalworks is the result of that progression: a workshop built on curiosity, resourcefulness, and the belief that exceptional jewelry doesn’t need to be out of reach. Every piece I make carries a bit of that journey — from a drilled nickel on a hand press to the modern metalwork crafted today.
